Maybe you missed my point. HF tools are ok for some uses, I even own a
couple of them, excess shopping from my trips for nytrile gloves. I got a
hand truck to use as a welding cart for less then the steel to build one. My
dad has a mess of HF tools, pisses me off when i am working at his place,
but they do work.
I was comparing their low quality to the kind of monkeys who would work in
places like Pep Boys, Wal-Mart, Big-O, etc. I am a NAISE certified Master
Auto Tech with 24 years experience, so i do know a bit about tools and
Mechanics.
If a guy owns a jack he shouldn't let idiots mess with something as
important and brakes. Read the manual and do it.

Re: Pep Boys for brake job?
I bought an air compressor from Harbor Freight about twenty years
ago for about half of what Sears wanted, it still works OK, but at the
same time I bought a set of hack saw blades, and high speed drills, that
was the last time I visited their store.

Re: Pep Boys for brake job?
I used to do my own brake jobs (car and motorcycle drum brakes, motorcyle disk
brakes), but
my pads were shot and I wouldn't have time to work on my Jeep 'til this weekend
and I didn't think it could wait that long. I work 10 to 12 hours a day so I'm
not too fired up to work on my Jeep after work.
