Hi Matt,
I was surprised it's not mandatory now, what happen? The bleeding
heart liberals say it was an invasion of their privacy? They should at
least take a physical like the truck drivers do to maintain their
commercial driver's license.

I pretty much detest everything Rush stands for, but can't
go along with this. I am trying hard to figure out what
real damage he might have done to anyone but himself here.
Or what the real crime might have been other than violating
the most tightassed repressive, medically ignorant drug laws of any
nation above 4th world status.

No, it was freaking unfortunate. And the result of
an injury similar to the one that had no less than
John F. Kennedy in pain most of his adult life...who
also has been alleged to have used a lot of painkillers.
And turned lots of 'nam vets into criminals for no more
than attempting to deal with the chronic pain of injuries
they got no thanks for getting.

Hi Lon,
There are alcoholics in every profession. Judging by the number of
arrested pilots lately I'd say it's pretty safe to fly, now. The pilots
I know are teetotalers, of course that usually means they had a problem.
