Hey, I have a GREAT idea... let's give all those "illegal aligns" drivers
licenses and maybe let them vote too!

Re: OT texas help
Nathan, I grew up in Amarillo. It's in the Panhandle of TX smack in the
middle of the high plains. Lots of wide-open spaces and clean air.
Population is about 170K, i left there about 13 years ago, but have friends
there still. It's a great place to live, and were it not for family ties I
would probably move back. Unemploymenti s usually lower than most places in
TX, and it's one of the friendliest, most polite places in the country. For
example, in one of the smaller towns nearby, a teenage boy actually opened
and held the door open for my wife and I With lots of semi-arid flat ground
around there is much rural land available and it's less expensive than where
I live near Dallas. The Lake Meridith Recreation area also contains a long
strip along the Canadian River that offers LOTS of diverse wheeling
opportunities that are not near the lake (assuming they're still open). Even
though it's flat, there is beautiful scenery nearby. Ever see the end of the
Indiana Jones movie where he rides off into the sunset? That was filmed just
outside town. Sunrise and sunset are like no place else on earth. Also, Palo
Duro Canyon is less than 30 minutes away. If you like mountains, a few hours
(5-6) away are the Sangre de Cristo mountains, and the highest peak in New
Mexico. The Kit Carson National Forest offers some super-tough high mountain
trails, all the hiking, camping, fishing, and 4-wheeling aailable there
would last a lifetime. I lived in Northern NM too for a while. If you're
interested I can send some digital pic's from our vacation of the terrain in
the panhandle and the mountains.
