Hi Jeff,
Some of the Broncos came with a Citizen Band radio, with a
combination AM, FM, CB, antenna that didn't work very well on any of the
frequencies. There should be just enough room to plug in a test antenna,
without pulling it.

There is no external noise source in ACC. The OP's problem is in ON
when items such as the pump are running. In that situation any bad
ground or open circuit will allow noise in. And AM is nothing but
suceptable to noise.
