Yep.
And as a OTR truck driver for years, we train the younger guys to watch out
in truck stops and rest areas. You can't believe how many injuries are done
at large parking lots for big trucks. Getting hit even by a slow truck can
hurt. Always look for trucks/cars when you are in the same vicinity.

I help out with a local dirt track racer and have
nearly been smooshed by an outlaw on two instances.
That's the problem being close to the action, you get
a tendency to watch the leader when you should be
watching the cars coming at you.
These days I finish up and grab a seat in the grandstand.
It's safer and less mud that gets in your nachos.
