Re: OT - newsgroup help
Under 'Options" under 'Maintenance" there is a control to set the delete
date for server messages.

Re: OT - newsgroup help
You are probably using your ISP's news server. News servers are expensive
and difficult to maintain, and ISPs usually do a poor job of it, if they
even offer the service. In order to cope with the huge storage demands,
they "expire" (i.e. delete) messages from the server fairly frequently.
I use Teranews, which isn't too bad. For a $5.00 "registration" fee, you
get a lifetime membership and better service than 99% of ISP news servers.
Athenanews is a little better, but costs about $5.00 a month. This is well
worth it, when you consider the poor service that ISP news servers can
provide. If you can put up with the interface, Google Groups is free, and
"never" expires articles.

Re: OT - newsgroup help
All you have missed are hundreds of idiot posts from Bill H and his
script kiddy boyfriends...
You must have your settings in outlook wrong. Those messages are
normally internally generated, not from the ISP.
Your ISP might be having a brain fart too, it might be worth a call to
their tech line just to see.
