OME shocks and Bar pins

OME shocks and Bar pins
2 Months, 2 bar pin clips and I'm ready to kill. What all does everybody
with these shocks do about the clips failing? I'm considering getting the
clips put back on and welding some kind of stop to the bar or a stack of
washers or something...
Anybody else have this problem?

What are you working on? Some very old Jeeps use a cotter key,
which I've never had a Problem with, other than pressing the washer on
far enough to start the key. Everything else is bolted.

What are you working on? Some very old Jeeps use a cotter key,
which I've never had a Problem with, other than pressing the washer on
far enough to start the key. Everything else is bolted.

You are telling us you have the wrong shocks in there.
Shocks should 'never' pin out either on the up or down movement. If
they do, the bump stops are too short or the shock travel is too short.
Either way just be thankful it is only snapping the bar pins, not
breaking off chunks of frame or the whole shock mount like it 'can' do.
You really need to get the right size parts in there.
