Old Engine Parts!
My 88 Yj has its original engine (2.5L) and all nothing has ever been
replaced. It gets about 8 mpg i had found that the header was loose and
cracked if i replace it how much mpg improvement can i expect if any.
And any sugjestions on what brand replacements are best?

Re: Old Engine Parts!
So you are the person that asked about increasing the mileage eh?
You 'really' should have mentioned the Jeep was broken. 8 mpg is a
seriously dead engine.
If you use a light foot and stay under 70 mph, you should at least get
as good a mileage as my 86 CJ7 with the 258 6 cylinder engine. I get 23
US mpg.
After you repair the header, I recommend an oil and filter change, new
plugs, distributor cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter and plug wires.
Then come back and ask the question again after checking the mileage.
