89 YJ rubicon lift. I have two wedge spacers for between the axle and
springs. Which way does the fat end go??? Front or rear of front axle?

Fat end goes toward the center (towards the transfer case) of the vehicle.
Effectively this tilts the axle/diff up towards the transfer case.
