Subsidies are argued for a Airline Bailout:

none are used so far. Maybe you think government subsidies are like your
food stamp program going to you to use at the store, but there's no way
a that would translate subsidies for coupons from our government for
companies like American or United to use at there local fuel depot. You
just have no comprehension as to how business works.
