Check the pressure sender first - it's a common problem. That said, I
got identical sympthoms last summer when my oil pump started south on
me. It's normal for the pressure to follow RPM when the engine is
warm - on a hot day my well broken in 4.0 (160k miles) has a hot idle
(800 RPM) of 25 PSI or so, running 45-50 at highways speeds (2200 RPM
or so). After sitting for any length of time, it will start out on
the 75 PSI level then drop. When that level shifted down by at least
10PIS across the range I dropped the pan and changed the pump AFTER
confirming the pressure readout with a mechanical guage. It's a lot
more common for the sender to fail than for a pump to suddenly go bad
on you.
