Re: off road lighting
Mainly it depends on how much you want to spend and whether your loyal to
any one brand. I have found that some of the "no name" cheapies out there actually are pretty good. Unless your buying them for a look stay away from chromed housings, the plastic housings are much better specifically if your buying cheaper lights. After you have installed them please make sure you have them aimed correctly.... I hate when the ricers and wanna be ricers drive with poorly aimed fog lights and head lights... But they hate it even more when I'm forced to turn on my 100 watters (wired to the battery and technically illegally wired up, they can be turned on anytime) Snow... 93 XJ, 4.0, 90% Stock & 85% New Parts. Go get a cheap set of fogs with clear lenses. That way if you nail one it's not an expensive fix. PepBoys/AutoZone etc. Reason for the fogs is they have a much wider pattern than driving/spot lamps. I use these on the ZJ, They take a standard bulb and held up real well. http://members.cox.net/wilsond/foglight/ Not sure of the original vendor. -- DougW |
