O.T. Battery problems in car
I am having a somewhat serious battery problem in my car (86 ford baby
ltd wagon). My 2 week old battery is still getting wet on top, I noticed it
yesterday (again) and got the cow brand (baking soda) out and mixed up a
small amount with water and poured the mixture on to the top of the battery
and presto.... bubbles like crazy. On my previous battery it was bubbling
and the top was always wet due to a very small pin hole under the battery
terminal (top post), but there is no hole or nothing on the new battery.
What could be causing my new battery to boil over?

Overcharging.
Have your charging system checked out carefully.

Re: O.T. Battery problems in car
I would guess your alternator was putting out too much or something was
really drawing big power so the charging rate to recover is too high.
