Just found this on e-Bay:

Summary: 1943 Willys 3-axle, one of a handful produced for the US Army
for evaluation. I've head tell of `em, but never saw pictures of one.

Yeah, he wants to get $10K for it ($30,000 "invested", you can get it
for a third of that. Right.

I wonder if the owner had skipped the oil temp gauge and bought his wife
some flowers instead if he'd have to be selling it now. (I learned long
ago that random gifts of flowers for no reason at all is a pretty good
way to stay out of divorce court.)

Ghood ghod is that one ugly beast. Some sheet metal schemes are
improved by poking the top of the engine up through the hood. The
Commando isn't one of them.
