New tire size for 2k TJ...

I currently have 30 x 9.5 R15LT's. I am going to be getting some new tires
soon and was wondering if I could get 31's without having to get new rims or
a lift.

Thank ya.

I have 31 inch Goodyears on mine with the stock wheels. 31 x 10.5. No problems
at all. 2000 TJ, with the 15 x 8 aluminum wheels.

Re: New tire size for 2k TJ...

So I could use my existing rims and put 31's on. So I just end up with a
tall wall. What's the drawback with that?

Re: New tire size for 2k TJ...

A "tall (side)wall" just means your tire will be able to flex and conform
more easily to offroad trail irregularities when you're aired down for
offroading. No issues at all on the street for a 31" tire. :)
