I don't know where 'blogs' fall. Are these commercial entities or just
basic web page imitations?

The 'dot com' after the name implies this is commercial and therefore
just another form of trash Spam.

Probably Spam. The web site has a bunch of commercial adverts. It' like
"Road and Track" online. If it was just this dude's blog I could live
with that.
