Re: Never Thought
Sounds similar - I have a fireplace in 4 of the downstairs rooms, and
thermostatic radiator valves in each. So if I put a few logs on, it doesn't
switch off the central heating and make the rest of the house cold ! Logs
run at about £30 per ton if you are prepared to buy that many and collect
them yourself from the estates.

Re: Never Thought
I also have a cast iron box wood stove from Sweden it holds 4 6 inch
diameter loge 24 inches ling and will burn for about 18 hours. We use it
some times for heat but our electric heat is the main source. In the states
they sell wood by the cord 8 ft long x 4 ft high x 4 ft wide and a cord of
hard wood where I live in Maryland runs $150.00 US I could only guess on the
weight but it is about 1.5 tons.

1 US Gallon = 3.78 litres
Here in Nova Scotia our prices have hit $1.48.9 converted to the US Gallon
means we are paying $5.59 a gallon!
I think if I get 15mpg in my lifted TJ w/ 33's I'm lucky....
Our fuel miser is a ZJ w/ 5" lift and 31's...man I don't wanna bow down and
get a nipper car :(
