You must not live in Kalifornia, just the regular SMOG check is
done with an oscilloscope, hooked to the Department of Motor Vehicles,
Sacramento:

exact information as in these examples of ignition, and fuel injector

Yep, that's why I added cop. While unlikely, it is possible for
that rail to get damaged. Especially if you arn't carefull taking
it off or neglect the harness at the back. Just making the answer
