Yikes! I hate doing anything outside in the winter! We got lucky w/ a
nice day today, but I'm sure it will go swiftly downhill from here.
We've already had two decent snowstorms, and a bad ice storm. The jeep
is amazing in snow, but about as bad as anything else in the ice. I
think that's all about luck! I couldn't believe how my big pig (Crown
Vic w/ the takeoff gearing, ffffaasssssttttt!) did w/ chains on the
tires. The bad part is that I live on top of a mountain so I have to
go down or up to go anywhere!

Hi Mary,

Just a suggestion... add your vehicle information to your signature... then
we don't have to go back and find your original post to identify your
vehicle.
I was going to suggest the "Nutter Bypass" to eliminate your computer, but I
don't think it applies to your 94 YJ. Bill, am I correct?

Nothing drives well on ice. I remember seeing WWII vintage footage from
the Battle of the Bulge showing a tank sliding off an icy roadway --
sideways.

That your Crown Vic does well in chains isn't too much of a surprise.
It is one of the reasons that it is base for the standard police vehicle.
