That is where it is supposed to be on my 93 but actually the little
bugger is hiding back by #6 sparkplug.

Check the CrankshaftPositionSensor and if that is not it, see if
any fault codes appear, then hire an engine surgeon to turn that
V6 back into the a straight six before it twists the crank in half.
