Which is the same Saginaw box as used in the YJ, and 1963 Chevy,
and other GM rear wheel drive passenger cars.

Not all Saginaw boxes are the same. The mounts and the exterior maybe the
same, the gearing on the inside could be different.
And in fact, the J20 is different from the Wagoneer which is different from
a CJ. I know he is talking about a YJ. I haven't looked at a YJ steering box
ratio to know if a J20 box is different.

Not all Saginaw boxes are the same. The mounts and the exterior maybe the
same, the gearing on the inside could be different.
And in fact, the J20 is different from the Wagoneer which is different from
a CJ. I know he is talking about a YJ. I haven't looked at a YJ steering box
ratio to know if a J20 box is different.

Yup, that's why I left out GM pickups, as they mount outside the
frame, in the area Jeeps need for turning radius. Yes, and I for got
about the ratios, that I only find different in Jeeps.

Yup, that's why I left out GM pickups, as they mount outside the
frame, in the area Jeeps need for turning radius. Yes, and I for got
about the ratios, that I only find different in Jeeps.
