On all the ones I have seen, that top hole is a hole. It takes a bolt
and nut.

I just had to get a clutch setup for a gent. The whole linkage kit was
$120.00 I think. It came with all the parts, but I could have bought
the pieces individually.

about $75US. Is the difference between that and your price in the US >>
