For sizes of BFGs A/T-KOs you can check directly:
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...rain_ta_kd.pdf
The 235/75R15s are 29.0 inches tall, and the 30x9.50R15s
are 29.5.
On my 87 YJ I went with 235s, they were in stock. The 30x9.5s
would have taken a week to get. The price was the same.

Re: looking to see some pics of Jeeps with 30X9.50-15
Not sure about how they'd fit (plenty of "what tire fits my Jeep?"
websites to tell ya what mods if any you'd need) but I think 31" x 10.5"
tires look great for a little more beef while retaining a reasonable
appearance. It'll be fine on your brakes and steering; won't kill mileage
either. Of course, I live on a flat coastline. You'll probably love BFG
T/A KO's but consider Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's too. (The MT/R's came from
the factory on some Jeeps didn't they?) That'll give you a mildly
aggressive look and poise you for a trail run when you finally cave in:)
Here's a link of some of my picks. Good luck.

Re: looking to see some pics of Jeeps with 30X9.50-15
Well, mine's a '76 CJ-7 and, way back in the day when I had 31's, they fit
and only rubbed a little when the steering was maxed out and hit a sharp
bump. Never a problem for me.
Wait a minute... Ha! Told you there was a plethora of "what fits" sites
out there. Here's some links. The first one just about answers all your
questions; or at least asks you enough questions to decide based on your
desires. Looks like a 31" tire works about the same on your YJ as my CJ.
Of course, 30" x 9.5's would do about as good.
Just a couple more pieces of friendly, opinionated advice. If you want to
get just a tad more clearance, a decent pair of shackles will do it (I've
made 'em myself but like a professional set Infinitely more). Don't even
consider a body lift. It's a pain in the butt to install, puts too much
stress on the body and you'll feel like your riding in a crow's nest
(swaying back and forth) for a measly couple of inches that isn't worth
much. And, if you haven't bought a new set of rims yet, don't just get a
set off the rack. Figure out the right backspacing so your tires don't look
like the typical YJ (no offense to anybody but I just think tires two feet
wider than the Jeep looks goofy unless you're well lifted and running no
less than 33's to keep the geometry right:)
