Looking for early Warn winch solenoids
Almost done rebuilding my newly acquired Warn 8274. Just need a
couple of solenoids - and Warn doesn't supply them any more - just as
part of the full control pack (at approx $250 ...yikes!)
I understand that typical "starter solenoids" like on my 83 CJ7 are
NOT designed to handle the current load needed for winching - and will
burnout / fuse together pretty quickly, with potentially diasterous
results!.
Anyone got a lead on where I can get some - or thoughts on a suitable
alternate / replacement solenoid?
Thanks

Try a starter shop. They usually stock a variety of solenoids. A
local one had one for my 20-ish Tensen TX-2.
