I swear, there are a lot of high ranking military and civillians
who spend more time polishing their bosses asses than doing what
the country expects of them.

Well there you go. The French CAN do some military things right, assuming
they sank the ship they intended.

I have thought for a number of years now that it would be expedient to have
a member of the executive branch on the whaler/tanker/etc. that the
Greenpeace terrorists are expected to ram or board. Then the navy of that
country would be perfectly and legally justified in blowing it out of the
water, arresting the few survivors and all the international officers of
that --------- organization.
