If you merely wnat to look blingy and clueless without using them, go for
it. I installed the same setup for a guy and the glare is bad. The KC lights
"armored" cables weren't long enough to reach the horizontal cowl so i
drilled the wire hole thu it just below the windshield gasket.
Roof mounts are also kind of silly in the forest. I installed my Super
Oscars in the front behind the guard, where they belong.

work good there being up higher than the ones on my bumper and never thought
about the glare from my hood. Well thanks for saving me money and the hassel

Hi Jeff,
I don't like the off-road lights down below the head light level,
they are so much stronger that it leaves dark spots just over the coming
hill that look like you're about to drive off a cliff. But the glare on
the hood is real, so you must use deflectors below the lights or move
them back on the top so as it will miss the hood like this race truck:

Different stuff for different regions. I liked roof light when i lived in
So Cal . I have broken 3 windsheilds on low branches here in heavy snows,
just easing thru them at idle and now have a guard there to lift them. My
winch is great here, but not much good in Glamis without an anchor.
