GM introduced IFS to their 4x4 trucks in 1988.. Over 15 years ago...
'87 was the last year for solid axles, except for the blazer and
suburban which changed over in 91..

'87 was the last year for solid axles, except for the blazer and
suburban which changed over in 91..

What Fred said. Supersize the picture second row far right, the one that shows
the balding inside tread of the front tire. You can clearly see the aluminum
front differential and front driveshaft. No wonder you didn't see it before,
there was no stylin' paint job on it....
