Re: K & N Air Filter Questions

well socks, how do they magically move more air than a stock filter? The
micron measurement of dirt particles filtered is larger for the KN filter
than ANY stock filter. This is so they can move more air. Aside from a
strictly racing environment, they are crap. On some vehicles that are vacuum
sensitive, they don't allow enough pressure drop for everything to work
correctly. do your research spammer and move on

Again:

"well known racers and car folks"

Note what I said after the 'and': car folks.

Of all types. Not just racers. And yes, people with cars with high metrage
(mileage). Professionals who work on cars every day. Normals. USERS of the
product. Lots of them, too.

Relax.

Only 99 people to go, and someone else will agree with you.

And YES, decidedly, you have a right to your opinion, just as we do.

So does Billieboi, only he has no right to voice it. He lost that right,
now he has to re-earn it, which is very unlikely to happen.

Re: K & N Air Filter Questions

I had them on my '34 Ford Pickup in 1961 or 1962, latest.

My mentor in the car game had many in his garage before that.

From the biography of Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys:

"1963 - First collaborative songwriting attempt w/Hot Rod songwriter Gary
Usher. "RPM & My Stingray - Plays drums on the recordings (credited to
"The 4-Speeds"). Also plays drums on the second single "Cheater Slicks"
b/w Four on the Floor."

They were /everywhere/ by that time or a song couldn't have been written
about them.

By the time I was Married With Children at the ripe old age of 17, I
already had them on my '65 Dodge screamer, which I bought in 1964. You
could buy cheaters in any one of 2 dozen or more shops in the San Fernando
Valley, within 5 minutes of the LA Freeway.

I can only assume the news hadn't reached the Greater Vista Metropolitan
Area until much later.

Or you were just out of the loop, which is far more likely.

Which would you prefer, Hemlock or Crow?

You lose, ------.

And your apology is accepted in advance by myself and at least 8 others
who also proved you wrong.

I have friends that used those filters until they did Bills test! I
watched. The amount of crap that the K&N lets through up here on our
Canadian bush trails and streets was more than enough to convince them
to go back to the proper OEM paper filter.
