Re: Just to let everyone know
Bill,
I'm surprised you didn't post the pic of the tow strap through the seat. I was in clay, in a swampy area that has been flooded for about 20 years. After we got out of the mud, my brother said he had a 4 wheeler stuck there about a week earlier, and almost didn't get it out. We looked for a come-a-long, but couldn't find it. The tires on the tractor are about 5 feet tall, and it couldn't pull me out. A come-a-long probably would have broken, I had the frame on the ground. When I get a winch, it will probably be the Warn 9500ti. I will probably get a come-a-long until then, and also use my highlift to pull with. A lift with bigger tires might have helped a little bit. When in mud, are you supposed to air up or down? I was at normal psi, just wondering if less would have been better. Also learned the best way to bust up a beaver dam is to drive over it. I know tread lightly, but they are destroying farm land, so we are trying to encourage them to move without having to kill them. I am also thinking a boat anchor tied to the jeep will work to pull it throught the dam to bust it up. Patrick Ô¿Ô "L.W.
