That sure is a case of 'you get what you pay for'!!!!!
If you stay with the brand name tools, the odds are you will be happy
with them.
The problem with these 'fence tighteners' is there are so many cheap
knock offs.
I is like the original Canadian 'Jack All' brand of barn lifting and
post pulling jacks. First the Americans imitated it with their cheaper
and lighter 'High Lift' jack, then the asians have imitate it with
'really' cheaply made 'no name' ones. The North American made ones are
still good quality.
