Re: Jeep YJ engine problems...
A weak ignition module can cause that.
You can get freeze spray at electronics shops. When it quits, give it a
shot of freeze spray and if it starts right back up, you have likely
found the trouble.
A blocked air filter on the gas tank vent can also cause that. it
builds up vacuum and dies. Let it sit for a bit and away it goes
again. Quick test for that is to crack open the gas cap when it dies.
Again if it starts right back up, you have it.

When I was having the same problem with my YJ I followed Mikes suggestion
and got the problem fixed right away. It was the ignition module.
