i dont think anyone has questioned aftermarket accessories. my objection
was to the suggestion that the wrangler should come with power windows as a
factory option (just like every other soft-roader for sale).

Ah, missed that. Yeah, power options in the door would most likely kill
the door removal thing unless they used some sort of connector in the
wiring harness to the doors.
