I liked the Gremlin. They probably could have sold a lot of the 4x4 version

It is just a switch or the linkage is slightly out of adjustment. Both
are relatively 'easy' fixes. My bet is the linkage is unused and a little stiff. Never go back to the Fool that gave you the total BS story about the crank sensor. The crank sensors do fail, but they are located outside the top corner of the bell housing and under the distributor cap. Nothing needs dropping, nor is it slightly related to the 4x4 light switch, he is a rip off artist or has no clue in the world!
