Re: Jeep one fingered salute?
The wave is ONLY about friendship.
Is there any skin off your back for waving and not receiving a nod back?
'grain of salt' my friend....
Throw the hand up and if they wave back...great...if they don't, then their
mommy probably didn't tell them about the wave when they went and bought
their poser kids that 'cool' toy to look 'cool' to their friends.
I used to live in Vancouver, BC....lots of mountains around..and wouldn't
you know it, a lot of Jeeps.
I NEVER got a wave in the city...well, slightly exagerrating...a few waves.
But I waved anyhow....although, maybe with a little less frequency! It was
when I got out of the city that i found more ppl waved back.
I can guarantee that both Jeeper's are watchin each other as they
pass....each waiting for the other to initiate the wave. Crap...since
you're already putting the effort in to staring longingly at the other jeep
waiting for some recognition...just raise your ----in hand and be done with
it! If you get a wave back then you can buy your lottery tickets or pick a
fight with your boss and take your chances...I dunno.

Re: Jeep one fingered salute?
I wave to all Jeeps (sorry not to too many ZJ's since I cant tell what they are when
they are headed at me at 55-70 mph). Some times I get a wave back and sometimes I
dont. Old CJ's and stock TJ's are the worst here about not returning the wave. If
I recognize the rigs I wave to my fellow employees and neighbors also. Heck, I wave
to old FJ's and lifted Sammi's too. =) Its all about wheeling! I've gotten a
Jeep wave across 6 lanes of freeway before...and not gotten one from Jeepers I know.
I figure if they dont wave, they either dont have a clue, were not looking, or are to
busy thinking about something else, or too busy driving to wave. No big deal. After
months of waving to one Jeep that I would often see on the highway, they are finally
waving back! Either they figured it out, or just decided to be freindly? Dunno,
dont care. =)

Dunno,
dont care. =)
