I would take the fans relay out of line, hooking it directly to the
battery at the first cable junction, and just trigger if via the
ignition switch. Otherwise you're asking for a fire, as the harness is
is designed to just run the amperage needed and no more.

Standard relay. NAPA sells them for 4-6$, dealer for about 9$.
I always keep spares for critical circuits.
