I would even buy that gold infused blinker fluid if I thought it would
help keep the old air in those damn aluminum rims...

Re: Injector cleaner fuel additive? Now changing air in Tires..
That's probably the problem all right. People think their older Jeeps are
okay with the older technology air but it is the reaction between newer tire
components and the composition of the old technology air.
The problem was so bad in some tires that most manufacturers had to stop
manufacturing them due to persistent leaking that could not be addressed.
That was in the size 33 x 9.5-15

Re: Injector cleaner fuel additive? Now changing air in Tires..
That's probably the problem all right. People think their older Jeeps are
okay with the older technology air but it is the reaction between newer tire
components and the composition of the old technology air.
The problem was so bad in some tires that most manufacturers had to stop
manufacturing them due to persistent leaking that could not be addressed.
That was in the size 33 x 9.5-15

Re: Injector cleaner fuel additive? Now changing air in Tires..
Well, shop air will get you 80% of the way to pure nitrogen - ambient
air is normally 78-80% nitrogen <g>.
I had one of those tires a few years back. Held air perfectly until
the really cold night then it would go flat in a couple of hours.
Air it up and it would then hold fine until the next time the temp
changed by 50-60 dregrees within 24 hours (really warm day followed by
a front and unusual cold). Never did figure out what was causing it
but the problem went away when I finally replaced the tire. I was
leaning toward a teenage son as trhe cause...
