increasing horsepower with a resistor

Re: increasing horsepower with a resistor
I tried this guy's idea several years ago on my '93 I-6 Wrangler after
reading the appropriate section of the Jeep service manual describing how
the system works. It's kinda like what he says. BUT, not only does it
advance the timing, it also enriches the mixture. So, yes it does work. The
slight downside could be you'll use a little more gas. If you want to get
serious about it, you could use a variable resistor and set it up so you
could change it while your driving!

I would seriously advise reading this link before buying anything like a
resistor to advance your timing and increase power.

Better yet, get 3 of 'em and triple your gain! Just think, 36-60 extra
horsepower for a mere $27! Order now!

Heck, just cut the circuit so the resistance goes to infinity
and turn your Jeep into a match for the Jato Chevy.
