Re: Ignition switch question.
Maybe I was just screwed up in my thinking/memory, it wouldn't be the first
time. I'm getting ready to drive off to work in the TJ, I'll check it out.

Re: Ignition switch question.
The ACC setting allows use of the electrical sutff without energizing the
ignition system. I agree that there is seldom, if ever, a need for the
heater motor to blow in this position, but as you pointed out the
ventelation system is active in ACC. The fan might not work at all speeds
however, and is restricted to the lowest setting. I don't know for certain
if this is true or not.

Re: Ignition switch question.
All the speeds work in both my Jeeps and I just remembered you 'can'
turn off the fan in the XJ if you slide the vent control all the way
off. Forgot about that.
I just remembered someone using acc and forgetting to kill the fan or
not knowing about it on low by default is better said, so the battery
died.
With the fan switch 'off' and the vent/heat control anywhere but off,
the fan is on low automatically in the newer Jeeps. My 88 Cherokee and
the YJ's have it that way.

turn off the fan in the XJ if you slide the vent control all the way

Re: Ignition switch question.
All the speeds work in both my Jeeps and I just remembered you 'can'
turn off the fan in the XJ if you slide the vent control all the way
off. Forgot about that.
