There are volumes of tests proving that Freon (CFC) *does* destroy O3.
That's what the ozone is made of. Now, the ozone has the ability to
repair itself but not the rate it was being destroyed and certainly not
at the rate it would be currently with all of the additional cars on the
road in the US and former developing countries (like China and India)
that are now buying cars with A/C like crazy.

The ban is a good thing. Especially when there are alternatives that are
less destructive.

Right place, right time with the right amount of talent in that
industry. Now that many of those jobs have been shipped to India and
China, we'll see if they patent anything else.

trouble with 401a is that its still WAY more expensive and you cannot buy it
in small cans. if not converting over, 414b would be the best
recommendation i could give him. especially since its available in 16oz.
cans.
