I gave up too, got an eye ache somewhere in there....
I 'think' he has some kind of massive shackle lift and no steering
stabilizer with the death wobble bad enough to tear off steering boxes
and can't understand why it all keeps falling apart. LOL!
Not 100% sure though....

Re: HOW TO TIGHTEN UP MY CJ FRONT END. TIE ROD, BRACE BOX, WHEEL BEARINGS, STILL A DANCER
My jeep came with some heavy duty shackles about 4" tall, and the
springs might give a couple inches of lift. The dual Ranch Steering
stablilizer wasnt doing the trick, in fact it caused the drag link to
buck back and forth when i hit a bump so i removed it. The steering box
is securely fastened with a BIG DADDY OFF ROAD steering brace, with a
3/4 bolt going thru the frame. Losing the box is the least of my
worries, but the factory brace ALMOST CAME OFF FROM THE DEATH WOBBLE. I
dont like my front end doing the salsa when it comes to my jeep. One
piece at a time it is coming along.

You just need to get a steering stabilizer in there then. On a CJ they
go on the tie rod and bolt to the axle tube. You can't drive a CJ
without one.
