How Tall?
Just wondering what the height measure on tires is intended to mean. My
31*10.5 BFG TA's, with 30 PSI, on a 3,500 lb TJ, with about 2/3 tread left, measure 29 5/8 tall. Is the measured height usually that much less than the "spec" height? CD |
Re: How Tall?
The overall diameter of that particular size tire should be 30.7" when new.

Re: How Tall?
Not to mention the actual rolling diameter is smaller yet due to the
flat spot on the bottom of the tire. Rolling diameter is measured from the ground to the center of rotation. mabar wrote: > The overall diameter of that particular size tire should be 30.7" when new. > See all the BFG AT specs here: > > http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...rain_ta_kd.pdf > > Tom > > "CD" <cd@sbcglobal.net> wrote in message > news:gaHVf.48548$2O6.891@newssvr12.news.prodigy.co m... > >>Just wondering what the height measure on tires is intended to mean. I have 13/16" of rubber about ten thousand miles with an alignment
