Re: How many miles are on your TJ?
'99 TJ Sahara at around 60,700. I bought it just over 50k.
I've had the following done:
New radiator
Brake leak
Full reocmmended 60k mile stuff
Replaced the stereo (but that's an upgrade)
Not a great track record, but could be a lot worse...

Re: How many miles are on your TJ?
Hey Chad,
Mine is a '99 TJ Sahara with 58,000 miles on it. Bought it new in Sept., '98.
No horrendous problems so far. I broke the right front stabilizer bar on a rock
or somethin' a couple of years ago, so I replaced both of them. On another
occasion I got a little too intimate with a couple of trees 'cause of some
really loose dirt/gravel and ended up replacing the left front fender flare,
front bumper and rear bumper. It's now about 10,000 miles into its second set
of tires, GY GS-As, and it's on its second battery.
About the only things I'd like to change about it is those really egregious
plastic end caps on the bumpers, and maybe replace the stock muffler with a
FlowMaster.
This is my primary ride, so I try to take pretty good care of it; oil change
every 3K, new air filter every other oil change, do a tune-up and replace the
fluids/grease in all the boxes about every 30K (coming up real soon now),
change the coolant every fall, etc.

Re: How many miles are on your TJ?
99 TJ Sport with 60,500 miles/ 31 x 10.50 Kelly Muds on 8" American
Racing (?) wheels/locking EVERYTHING that unscrews (gas, hood, spare)/
BRAND NEW (yesterday) custom exhaust man./ Panasonic Ghost invisible
face head unit w/RCA Lyra MP3 player/Optima Red Top/KC daylighters
(150 watt, I think)
Not much has gone wrong...one dead battery, one SHOT rear differential
from ignoring towing limits when it was new (covered under warranty),
new manifold yesterday, 3 flat Goodyears before upgrading, Chrysler CD
player got skippy and was replaced. Radiator is currently starting to
weep and will upgrade to a 3-core or whatever before summer comes in
full force. The mirror coating rubber crap is rotting off-time for a
sandblast of the mounts and the installation of some relo brackets
soon. Oh, it also goes through brakes like there's NO TOMORROW- like a
new set every 14 months. Thank goodness for Midas lifetime brakes.
