Re: How to lift my wrangler
Make sure when you do that you at least pay the rightful user of the
dumpster for an extra pickup. A lot of people seem to think that disposal
companies don't charge for their services.
Yeah, a while back every so often people dumped their houshold trash in my
4-yarder at my store. Yard waste, trash bags, boxes, all kinds of stuff.
They'd fill it up and we'd have to order an extra pickup to make room for
our own trash. Once someone put a mature tree in it, it stuck 10 feet out
the top.
We lock our dumpster now, and it doesn't happen as often, but since it's
locked people intent on dumping their trash now just leave it in the alley
behind the building. Last month someone left an old window air conditioner
next to the dumpster.
If I find tires in my alley, I'll know who to call.. :-)

Re: How to lift my wrangler
There is no problem putting out TVs here, it must be a Kalifornia thing.
Do they normally look inside dumpsters before they hook up and lift?
Another method around here for anything useful or recyclable is to put it
out for the trashman the day before. Worthwhile stuff usually isn't around
for the trashman not to take.

Re: How to lift my wrangler
My two latest sets were properly disposed of.... well... as far as I
know.... My neighbor got me the 'family price' on my Kumho ATs tires and
had them installed, balanced, and front end aligned (toe) before I picked it
up.
There is one problem with buying tires this way.... While I am not eligible
for the 'free' lifetime rebalancing and rotation I do get the 'free'
nitrogen every time I need to air up.

Re: How to lift my wrangler
Nylon was one of the first materials used for belts. I hear people used to
complain about the 'thump' for the first mile or so but it never bothered
me. Perhaps it was because I was so happy not to be riding (wallowing) on
bias ply tires or maybe because the roads on the way to the main drag were
so bad.
More likely their competitors used something else and it was advertising
hype.
