how hard to run 32's on a TJ?
I will be doing my regearing soon for my TJ (thanks for all the help, guys
and gals!) and that means I can use bigger tires. I don't want to go any
bigger than 33's for sure, would be happy with 31's, but might go with
32's if it did not require a lot of hassle. Would a body lift allow me to
go to 32's?
Also, I would like to keep the tires relatively narrow. How hard is it to
get, say, 32 or 33-inch BFG's in a 9.5 width?
Thanks!
-jeff ( I want to keep the Jeep relatively civilized; my wife drives it
too. SO big lifts are out for a a couple years until I can afford an SUV
that can do the camping trips, etc, that the TJ now does for us)

Go with the 31's and don't bother with the body lift for now, a body lift
won't get you into a 33" tire comfortably... do a suspension lift when you
get another vehicle and then go for the 33's
BFG's don't come in 9.5 on 32's, just 33's - nice choice from everything
I've heard.

Re: how hard to run 32's on a TJ?
Jeff -
I'm running 31x10.50 BFG ATs on a 97 TJ with a 2" Daystar spacer lift.
I could have easily gone with 32x12.50, but I also drive primarily on
the road, so I wanted something a little more streetable.
I think BFG discontinued the 33x9.5, but I wonder why you'd want to
run that size (width) anyway - the actual treadwidth of a 10.50 AT is
8". My tires look "skinny" on my Jeep.

I second that advice. Skip the body lift and run 31"s for now. Put in
a suspension lift when you are ready for 33" tires. Regards,
