Not me. If I bought someone a 60" jack and a 48" was the ticket, I'd be
upset if they kept the one that was too long and didn't get the use out
of it I'd intended. Even worse if they hacked off the end of it. Just
exchange it!!

Naah, Windy only got the bigger one because it was only a couple of dollars
more. I just feel bad exchanging it. She said "go exchange it!".
