lets see how long it takes for a engine to hit op. temp
on a 70 degree day 10 minutes maybe at a idle, more than enough time to
figure out if a pulley is bad or a fan clutch long before it needs a motor
from overheat
see, we will run a engine with the belt off and not just spray a mechinac in a
can fix like you might so we can correctly fix the issue but hey thats just me

Your assuming its a 70 degree day , OP may live in Arizona and be doing this
on a hotter day.
Oh and with the belt off, it will heat up faster as the water pump won't be
turning.
Second, every stealership I have ever been to all have and use belt
dressing to get rid of squeaks. The silicone spray is much better and wont
leave sticky residue (safe for aircraft use to).
