Re: Help with sourcing Lift Struts for 89 Cherokee LTD
I recently replaced my 97 GJC's struts. Actually quite easy, remember
you need something to hold up the liftgate (step ladder worked for me).
I contacted Jonathan Evans the Internet Parts Specialist for the
Pomoco Auto Group , www.pomocoauto.com
They have four convenient ways for you to order .
"1. Online , through our secure order form
>https://worldparts.securesites.com/w...m.p?pomocoauto
2. Fax your order to 757-833-0948.
3. E-mail me at Partspomoc@aol.com.
4. Call me direct at 757-833-8087."
The savings over my local dealer were very significant. Jonathan found
the part numbers confirmed them for me and I had them in about a week.
Real pleasant service. My local dealer had me on hold for longer.
Hope they have the parts for an 89, they might be the same until they
switched to a steel liftgate. I had an 88, it was indestructable!
Survived me, two college age sons and then was sold to someone who
commuted into NYC. Son saw it a nember of times in Manhattan still
going strong.

Re: Help with sourcing Lift Struts for 89 Cherokee LTD
Any auto part store, but they're expensive, about forty bucks
apiece. I can buy a whole set of heavy duty shock absorbers for that.
