I second Mikes suggestion, Clean and tighten your battery cables. while
your at, check your oil, washer fluid and anti-freeze.

Gad, I can't believe you guys. Troubleshooting skills of
an MBA. This is a *power* problem folks, so it is much
more likely to be defective spark plugs. The poor OP has
a leaky spark plug that isn't plugging the spark hole
properly and is letting all the electricity leak out
thru the exhaust...where perhaps it may have damaged
Bill's muffler bearing, but only as a secondary effect.
