HEI Mod

Re: HEI Mod
Yes I agree I stripped out a bunch of wires and the Accel coil, ran
all the wires in new slit harness wrap and tie wrapped in all up
nice. It is strange shutting it off as it takes a second for the relay
to release the power to the coil but I guess I will get use to it, I
also put a hidden switch on the relay feed........ sort of a poor
man's anti theft device. :)

Re: HEI Mod
or you can just run a hidden switch to ground the HEI tach wire. this will
prevent syarting.

Re: HEI Mod
Ouch. You could have done the TFI upgrade for quite a bit less.
http://fsjeep.homestead.com/TFI_Upgade.html
http://www.ifsja.org/tech/electrical...nupgrade.shtml
I put it on my AMC 360 and it made a big difference in the way the engine
ran. I've seen it done on v8s and I6s (obviously with different distributor
caps) and it works great. I don't like the Accel wires, though. I'd
suggest using the OEM ford wire set.
