Re: Hardtop hoists
Hi Jeepster,
I don't know about his idea... with his 8' ceiling, it would be in the way.
He has no way to lower it to the floor, so it can be kicked back on a
two-wheeler and moved out back to the shed. What do you do with yours?

Re: Hardtop hoists
I leave it suspended all summer .......... I have my hoist at the back
of the garage so I can pull in with the vehicle like this guy does,
http://www.jedi.com/obiwan/jeep/pics...oist20_720.jpg
My son who still lives at home has my old YJ and we put his top around
back of the house making sure we tie it down using cement blocks and 2
ratchet tie downs, I had a friend years ago who never tied his down
and it got tossed by a good gust of wind. You can see in my pictures
how I use to store the 2 tops ( mine on the bottom my sones on top) ,
it took too much of my garage floor space.

Re: Hardtop hoists
Yep, I used to just leave it sitting on the ground at the corner of my
driveway until I got tired of chasing it down after a good wind. One time
it flipped over and filled with water and then froze. That was it for a
good part of the winter, not able to use it, lol, until it all thawed out.
Dome light still worked though. That convinced me how dumb I was being and
I then concocted my method.
